Purposefully made by women overcoming poverty in Uganda.
Ugandan women have been found to be the most entrepreneurial women in the world, with 1 in 3 businesses in Uganda owned by women. For decades, women have carried the burden of financial hard times as they care for their children and have been unable to earn income. The rise of female-owned businesses is changing the trajectory for women who are breaking through the barriers of a male-dominated private sector. Our friends Damaris, Beatrice and Rose are inspirations as they represent artisans around Uganda through Buganda and other craft markets, providing economic mobility to themselves and others living in extreme poverty.
